The good news is, the Brewers got six solid frames from Marco Estrada. The bad news is, it wasn’t enough because Mark Buerhle outdueled him in the 2-1 loss to the White Sox. Estrada gave up two runs on seven hits and a walk with four strikeouts in the loss. Mitch Stetter didn’t allow a baserunner and he struck out one in 1 1/3 innings.
Jeremy Reed was three for four. Erick Almonte went two for three with a double and he scored the lone run.
The spring season is winding down. The season opener is Thursday against the Reds. I’m not sure who will be playing but they have two games this afternoon.
Even with the Greinke injury, I like the Brewers chances. I just wonder how tough it’s going to be to get Brewers tickets this year with all of the hype.
