The Brewers had a three game lead but a three game losing streak then three straight wins by the Cardinals cost them their lead. Of course those pesky Yankees were to blame and the Brewers were knocked around in two games and even the middle game which was closer wasn’t all that great. It is nice that attendance is doing well. The more Brewers tickets that are sold, the better chance we have pulling off more trades like the one that pulled Zach Greinke over to us.
They ran into a buzz saw in CC Sabathia. The offense picked up just six hits and three of them were by Ryan Braun. He also walked and he’s been one of the top hitters. Yuniensky Betancourt had two of the hits. All six hits were singles.
Randy Wolf fell to 6-5 on the season. He gave up four runs on seven hits and three walks with three strikeouts. John Axford pitched the final frame and he gave up an unearned run.
Next up the Twins. We need some wins.
